Made a photo of Oiro, a very straight punkband from Düsseldorf. They were making a “Bartour”, means they went from bar to bar in a small area, play 2 songs, everybody drink 2 beer, big Oliver plays 2 songs fom his portable record player, and after all Franky Disco call for a change. This happens to 11 bars. At the 3rd october, the holy day of the german unity.
Pepe and me saw only the last show at the Seifenhorst. Later, Kacke (means shit), the voice of Oiro, asked me for a photo, so I sent him one. Get a sample of the new DVD today. I´m very happy, that they use it for the cover. It´s a honor for me.
There is also a nice filmlet on this DVD, about a journey to Italy on a moped. And last, but not least 3 songs with video. You can order it here
Sonic Youth - Sensational FIX

…is an exibition with art from-, and around the band, made by the band. More here. There are two locations, Kunsthalle and KIT (Art in the tunnel). Pepe and me, we went to the KIT part, near the river. It started with a free dj set, where you could spin all Sonic Youth vinyls you want. Than we saw inlfuence, like William S. Burroughs, John Cage, or a lot of Allan Ginsberg. Or Grant Hart (Hüsker Dü), Matt Groening, Sofia Coppola, Cindy Sherman, Sun Ra(!!!!!), Jeff Wall, and, and, and,…..
Even Lee Ronaldo, Thurston Moore, and Kim Gordon shown art of themselves. Pepe was sitting on the swing, while the museum employee write a sms.
“Reserve Karaoke” means a round tent with bandequipment inside (the club in the shadow). You have heard only the track of Kim Gordons voice, and had to play with it. A soundmixer outside the tent mixed it, and burned it directly on cd. Only Friday, Sunday and Saturday.
The last work is by Richard Kern. it shows Kim Gordon with a gun, an the rest of the band, shooten, bloody, dead. It was allowed to shoot! With my camera.

Kwame Anthony Appiah - the cosmopolitan

Today, I founded this situation under a train bridge. A rattan chair, a nostalgic light, a teacup, and on the blanket an open book of Kwane Anthony Appiah – the cosmopolitan.
After some pics, I noticed an asian girl, filming my action. I like this crazy shit! Think, she´s from the local acadamy for arts. There are a lot of Korean, and Düsseldorf is full of Japanese.
