Yesterday, I visited the old castle Schloss Burg in a area, named “Bergisches Land” (mounted land). It was a sunny day, and a history knight association play some theater for the visitors. Later we took a “Bergische Tafel” in one of the cafes around the castle. It means a local kinded sweet pancake with cherries and sugar, and a cup of coffee. Von7 took the “super” version. It´ a pancake with vanilla ice, cream, cherries and rice pudding with a lot of cinnamon. Puh!
Out now is the new Rugged. With pictures from the Stones Throw Europe tour and a black´n white fashion editorial with carhartt tees.
Yesterday, Lutz one, Gogo and Fanta (f.l.t.r.) played some Rap at the Miljöh. It was also the birthday party of Ali. On the image you can see her in the middle, left Judith, and right Pepe.
Today I visited the exhibition, I worked also for the catalog. I had some big images inside, which shows “der Gestürzte” from Willhelm Lehmbruck. He made it 1916! It was at the August Macke Haus in Bonn. During some lectures, I spinned records in the rose garden of the museum, and met this beaurtiful girl. There are also some more prints of Emil Zuppke in the catalog. Like it, because it´s rearly local and old schooled. On the last image, you see Mr. Schütz, the archivist-, next to him the daughter of Emil Zuppke, and me on the right. It was great to met her. In the back, you see works of her father.
Yesterday, we cooked west african style. Yams, plantaine (banana for cooking), palm oil, Tomatos, bouillon cubes from pink shrimps and rearly hot pepper. It´s a meal for poor people with a lot of carbohydrates. The palm oil gives the special taste (that I hate), and the pepper make it hot. Everything is different to the european style. We have heard ghanesian music, like Jerry Hanson or Kofi Ahnan Johnson. Later we´ve heard some german stuff (Dj Koze, S.Y.P.H., Udo Lindenberg or Matthias Arfmann).
Yesterday, I sended this image to a big Rap magazine, which wrote an article about Ma Dukes, the mother of J Dilla aka. Jay Dee. He was a big rap artist and producer, who died in 2005. She is suffering from Lupus (her son also suffered from Lupus), an auto-immune disease which results in cell and tissue damage and a host of related medical issues. She had to pay all the medical bills for herself and for the therapy of her son. I want to spent my charge to an account you can find here. You can donate here too. Thanks to James Yancey, and his mother! J Dilla changed my life!
Thanks also to “spread the message” and the “Unique Club”, they made this image possible.
