On friday, Jasmin, Mr. Schütz, Mrs. Zuppke and me were invited for a cup of coffee and some caces at the house of Eva Pankok, the daughter of Otto Pankok. Otto Pankok was a professor at the academy of art in Düsseldorf from 1947-58, and Eva Pankok told a lot of interesting stories about the time with her father, who died 1966 in Wesel. He lived at “Haus Esselt”, near Wesel, with his family since 1958. He had also his atelier in the second floor. It´s an old farm, full of art from Otto Pankok and Eva Pankok. The barn was builted as a privat museum and archive with actually exibitions. At the moment there´s a showcase from new drawings of Günter Grass. Oldschool! But at least, it was the day of two very friendly signoras and daughters from two excelent expressionism artists, and in the end, Mrs Pankok presented Mrs Zuppke with a signed autobiography.
Will spin some mellow Stevie Wonder sound at the Moppete, saturday next week. The first 20L beer from the Fass will be very cheap. Perfect before clubbing, or won´t leave it. Flyer designed by Lutz one from 31nord.
Yep. Yesterday, Anette celebrated her birthday at Hüttenstrasse. Over the last years, I spended a lot of time here, in the first floor, with good friends. The ground floor is the atelier of the Düsseldorfer sculptor and illustrater Bert Gerresheim. Like his work. It´s part of this town.
