This is the Hinterrhein, one of the two big feeders for the river Rhine. It´s in the Kanton Graubünden, Switzerland. The Water is very clear in the very beginning, but it becomes milky and grey, and taste soapily.

This is a statue of Hagen von Tronje, this member of the Burgunds, who killed Siegfrid, in the legend of the Nibelungen. It shows Hagen, sinking the treasure of the Nibelungen into the river rhine, near Worms. Find it also here, a blog about the rhine, by the cologne writer Stan Lafleur. This blog is one of the extensivest works about the river, and it shows the rhine in many disziplines, not only the literary, starting in Switzerland, ending in Rotterdam.
…at the hospital of the university of Düsselldorf. He stayed there last year, because of a pulmonary embolism. Since 3 weeks, he´s in hospital again, that´s why I stopped my blog entries. My father is a very strong person, full of experience. He´s born in Löwenberg, now Lwówek ?l?ski, in 1934, and have leaved this country at the age of 11. Three years ago, we visited this place together, first time since his escape. I´ll tell more later.
