Last week, I was invited by Arne, an academic at a college for grafic and design, to talk about my work in his seminar. See Arne (on the right, with the barth), and Prof. Asmus (second left from Arne) and 12 students of the University of Applied Sciences.
The first photo was made with an Olympus Miu 2, and the second with the contax Tvs. Thanks to all.
See the photographic floor of the modern part of the tate museum in london. The tate modern will show the starting of modernity in different art genres. In the middle of the photo floor, there´s a room full of pictures from the cologne photographer August Sander, from the 20th of the last century. Around his room, there are works of Bernd and Hilla Becher, Thomas Ruff (portraits) and Thomas Struth. Both were students of Professor Becher, who teached photographic style at the academy of art in düsseldorf. See also photos of Paul Graham and Hiroshi Sugimoto. They all performed the art style of the New Sobriety.
Last month, I travelled to Berlin, to photograph the Madlib-Embryo session. See my new sneakers in the train, and later in a bar with Jörg, my traveling office and my sleeping station at Youssefs place (thanks a lot), near Prenzlauer Berg. Next day, I took the train to Warschauer Strasse, and walked over the bridge, to meet Gee during his lunch break. After the concert, and a short sleep, I took a flight to Paris for another Aloe Blacc show, I had to photograph. See the whole photostory of the Aloe Blacc europe tour!! Before my return flight, I walked around the center of Paris, used the Metro, visited the tour de Eifel, founded rich people and poor places, …a child playing with a lion, Cafes and urban streets. Thanks to Tommy for the new asics, and Bobsen for the tour.
