Tomb slab of Arnold from Harff

Made this photo for an exibition of Prof. Dr. Cepl-Kaufmann, about pilgrims in the 15th century. The grave was in Lövenich, the exibition in Grevenbroich.
In the years between 1496 and 1498 Arnold traveled from south- and middle Europe to Egypt, to Palestine and the Ottoman Empire. And at every place, he search for relics. The way to god as an adventure sounds like Don Quichote. What´s this, next his right feet? A Teddy? Animal? Looks crazy.
The other picture is from a book and shows the world in the 15th century, before Columbus founded North Amerika. This was the world of Arnold from Harff.
The next shows an alarm clock. Than, a typical relic. Mystical and expensive. A nail from from the cross of Jesus Christ. Perhaps, it´s rearly one!
And than a burning witch. With a steel around her neck. And a face full of torture.
